You need not remove the original bung to secure the drum lock, so there is no contact with drum contents. Eliminating potential content contamination is important in many industries, including chemical and food processing. Installs in seconds: place both halves around the bung lip, slide the lock bar through the halves, then attach a padlock (9/32" or 7.14mm dia. shackle, typical of a No. 3 Master Lock) through the bar’s end hole. Sold as a pair, these drum locks fit the most popular steel and plastic 55-gallon (200L) drum style. The steel drum set includes two units; one fits over the 2" NPT plug, the other over the 3/4" NPT plug. The plastic drum set includes two units that fit over both 2" plugs.
