Contains and controls hydrocarbons (oil-based liquids) while repelling water. Absorbent W is made from wood pulp reclaimed from the manufacturing of paper products. Manufactured through a patented process, it absorbs oil immediately on contact while repelling water. It floats even when saturated, so retrieval is easy. Hydrocarbons are absorbed into the cellulose fibers, preventing leaching and draining common in some sorbents. Lightweight and easy to spread. One 50-qt bag of Absorbent W absorbs approximately eight gallons of petroleum-based liquids. 100% organic--environmentally friendly.
